Last week there was a car accident on the highway between our town and a larger town five miles away. Several people stopped to help, just as I did, but none of us had a set of medical equipment in hand for a sudden event, as well as blankets, pillows or anything else that could be helpful at the scene of an accident.
Such a situation made us all realize how little most people know about first aid (急救). It also made me decide to carry first treating equipment in my car from then on.
